国际媒体采风团走进茂名石化
      近日，“在荔枝之乡，见中国之美”——“文化中国行”国际媒体看茂名采风团走进茂名石化，见证石化企业的绿色低碳发展。来自新华社、法新社、东京新闻报等国内外知名媒体记者、网络媒体大V等共30多人参加活动。
     在茂名露天矿生态公园，采风团了解到，作为茂名石化发源地，露天矿曾经为国家和企业发展发挥了重要作用。2013年以来，茂名石化坚持绿色发展战略，积极配合地方政府将露天矿改造成生态公园，如今这里已成为市民休闲游玩的重要场所。

This is my first time here to Maoming. And when I first came here, it’s quite impressive to see what the Chinese government has done to transform what was once a shale oil extraction site to now what we see here, such a beautiful, quite large lake. It’s just crazy to think that this kind of transformation, and now it’s quite a lovely place to come, have a little stroll around along the lake and enjoy this beautiful scenery. So it’s very impressive what they’ve done here.
（翻译）这是我第一次来茂名，我刚来到露天矿公园就被这里震撼到了。这里曾经是开采油页岩留下的矿坑，中国政府把矿坑改造成了美丽辽阔的湖泊。这种改造方式是我从未想过的。现在这里成为了热门游玩景点，人们可以沿着湖边散步，欣赏美景。中国政府保护环境的措施非常了不起。
      在茂名石化化工厂区，采风团参观了净化水装置、化工中控室，边走边用心感受，大家不时为石化企业绿色低碳发展成果发出阵阵赞叹。

 we have seen how the waste water can be used in different sectors. You can use the waste water for firefighting issues and can also use it to grow fish. And it’s very interesting how you can transform the waste water into that. So I think you have taken the environmental issue very seriously and I think it’s very important nowadays to take care of the environment. So I think it’s very outstanding.
（翻译）我们了解到处理后的废水可以用于很多场景，比如可以将净化水作为消防用水，或者用净化水来养鱼。净化废水的过程非常有趣。我认为茂名石化非常认真对待环境问题。当前，我认为保护环境非常重要。所以我认为茂名石化非常出色。
